Our approach
At the start of the Institute in 2019, we conducted a national survey among CSOs and their partners. This survey identified the knowledge needs of the civil society sector.
To delve deeper into each of these thematic challenges, we have organised workgroups that gather researchers and civil society actors committed to these three objectives:
- Thoroughly define the knowledge needs of the civil society sector
- Present the current state of academic and professional knowledge in response to these needs
- Identify the ‘blind spots’ of knowledge and suggest avenues for future research that benefits civil society
Some of the topics explored by our workgroups have led to support research programmes.
